They are either scoped rifle-like weapons that shoot lasers or a pistol-like weapon that fires lasers. I have unlocked several, and looked at some of the others, and they looked the same. Another flaw that I noticed is that the guns in this game have little variety. It isn't good that a PS2 game had more depth than a PS4 game that had been hyped for years. I have seen charts that indicate that the second "Battlefront" game has more than twice that amount. Despite the high amount of modes, there are only 4 planets in this game, and only 8 multiplayer maps total. The rest is devoted to online multiplayer, but it is also shallow. You can play multiplayer by yourself with AI bots, but it isn't fun. There is no story mode campaign in the regular game, just a few side missions that I beat in no time. After playing for five or six hours, exploring the modes, I found that I had played all of the modes. The one that is most noticeable is that it has poor depth. But, "Star Wars: Battlefront" does have its flaws. It is the "Heroes" mode, and it is the biggest bright spot in the game.
The game also gives you the opportunity to play as some of the most iconic characters in the series, like Han Solo or Darth Vader. The graphics are also stunning, perfectly matching the environments from the old films in the series. The gameplay is good, and everything feels pretty balanced and you don't feel completely overmatched by higher-ranking opponents. This is probably because it was made by EA, the same company that made the "Battlefield" games. The gameplay is nearly the exact same, and so is the map structure. "Star Wars: Battlefront" is really similar to the "Battlefield" games, with a few differences. I got this with my PS4 I got for Christmas, and it is the first of quite a few PS4 games that I will be reviewing. It is a reboot to the same series that entertained many gamers on the Playstation 2 back in the mid-2000s.
"Star Wars: Battlefront" was probably the third most popular game released around Christmas, only behind "Fallout 4" and "Call of Duty: Black Ops III" in my opinion.
